Due to the dynamic nature of actively growing trees, as well as the tremendous variation between species’ growth rates, we rely on the cubic volume of a seedling’s root mass to determine its “size” (Small / Medium / Large / XL). Great Tree for year round color in garden
Ordered one of these trees last fall from sequoiatrees.com. Tree was a bit small when it arrived yet healthy so I transplanted it into a larger pot before the snow came. Tree wintered over very well and is now rapidly growing adding about 2 inches each day and has added a solid 2 feet already this growing season. Fast growing tree and leaves "quake" similar to quaking aspen. This tree does extremely well in my far North Idaho location near the Canadian border with our native trees of Quaking Aspen, Cottonwood, Ponderosa Pine, Lodgepole Pine, Larch, Engleman Spruce, Paper Birch, Rocky Mountain Maple, Grand Fir and Subalpine Fir. This is a fast growing tree with beautiful golden fall color and white bark similar to Paper Birch.
